Privacy policy

This policy describes the 3000 Finnish Words apps for iOS and Android provided by Linapps.

Study data on your device

The app stores learning status, review history, settings, artwork prompts and imported artwork in its local app storage. The app does not send these records to a developer-operated server or sync them through a developer account. No app account is required.

On iOS, device backups or transfers may include app data according to your Apple and device settings. The current Android app disables automatic cloud backup and device-transfer backup of its private learning data. Restoring a Premium purchase does not restore study progress. Deleting the app can remove its local data.

No advertising or tracking

The apps contain no advertising or developer-operated learner analytics service. We do not send your flashcard progress or imported artwork to a developer server. The platform purchase services described below have their own data practices.

Purchases

Apple processes the optional one-time Premium purchase. The app uses StoreKit to check verified purchase information and unlock access, including restoration and revocation handling. The developer does not receive your payment card details. Apple handles purchase information under its own privacy policy.

On Android, Google Play processes the optional one-time Premium purchase. The app uses the Google Play Billing Library to retrieve product information, start purchases, verify signed purchase records, acknowledge completed purchases and restore access. A signed purchase record can be kept locally so previously verified access remains available offline. The developer does not receive your payment card details. Google handles its purchase services and associated operational data under its privacy policy.

Reminders and pronunciation

If you allow notifications, the app schedules word reminders locally on your device. You can change reminders in the app or disable notification permission in device Settings. Current iOS and Android versions use ready-made pronunciation recordings and load lesson images and recordings from our hosting when needed; the hosting provider processes network requests, including IP addresses and standard access logs, to deliver those files. Optional offline downloads store the media on your device. Learning progress and personal artwork are not sent with media requests. The app does not record your microphone or voice.

Optional artwork and sharing

You can choose images or files to import using the system picker. Selected content and artwork history are stored in the app. Artwork packs you export can contain artwork, prompts and memory cues; share them only with recipients you choose.

The optional ChatGPT link opens an external service. The app does not automatically upload your learning history or images there. If you paste a prompt or upload content to an external service, that service handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.

When you contact support

If you email support@essaykingapp.com, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use that correspondence to answer your request and resolve the issue, and retain it as needed for support and applicable obligations. Do not send passwords or payment card details. You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information you provided to support.

This website

These information pages are hosted on GitHub Pages and contain no added analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or forms. GitHub logs visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
